Bathrooms, en-suites and shower rooms. The old suite comes out, the pipework and layout are set out for where the new fittings are going, and the suite, tiling and flooring go in.
What the work involves
The existing suite and any old tiling come out first. Where the layout is changing (swapping a bath for a walk-in shower, moving the basin, taking out an airing cupboard to gain space) the pipework and any stud walls are set out at this stage, before anything is boarded or covered.
Fitting and finishing
The new suite goes in, then wall and floor tiling, flooring, and the trim and decorating around it. Extraction, lighting positions and where the towel rail or radiator sits are worked out with you beforehand rather than left to the end.
